Frequently asked questions
Which banks does Geshmak Payments support?
Geshmak Payments currently supports banks in the Westpac Group that support PayWay payments: Westpac and St George Bank.
Geshmak Payments also supports Stripe as a non-bank option.
Will Geshmak Payments add payment gateways from other banks?
We are planning to add payment gateways from other banks over time. In some cases, we are waiting for banks to release the next version of their gateway. If you are interested in a particular payment gateway, let us know.
Does Geshmak Payments need WooCommerce?
You don't need WooCommerce or any other eCommerce plugin. Geshmak Payments works directly with payment platforms to process payments.
Does Geshmak Payments need Elementor?
No, but it is designed primarily to be used on an Elementor 4 website using Atomic forms.
If you don't use Elementor, you can embed a payment form using a WordPress shortcode but you will have limited ability to customise it.
If you do use Elementor and its Atomic design system, you can build a fully-customised payments form with whatever fields you want in addition to the payment details and use your site's design (including using the Atomic design system).
Does my site store credit card details?
No. Credit card details are sent directly from a payer's browser to the payment platform and are not seen or stored by your website. Your website only stores the receipt and transaction numbers and the payer's contact details.
Is Geshmak Payments only available to Geshmak hosting clients?
You don't need to be a Geshmak hosting client to use Geshmak Payments. Geshmak hosting clients do get to use Geshmak Payments at no extra cost, but if you are not a client, you can get the Geshmak Payments plugin with a subscription. We also provide setup and installation services or you can set it up yourself.
